How to Play the World Cup 2026 Prediction Game

Everything you need to know about entering, predicting match scores, earning points, and climbing the leaderboard on WC26 Predict — the free World Cup 2026 prediction game.

What is WC26 Predict?

WC26 Predict is a free online World Cup 2026 score predictor game, available at worldcup26.games. It covers all 72 group stage matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which features 48 nations across 12 groups. You predict the exact final score of each match before kick-off, earn points based on how accurate your prediction is, and compete on a live leaderboard.

The game is completely free to play. If you want to compete for real cash prizes, you can pay a one-off £11.50 entry fee to become prize-eligible. The prize pot grows with every paid entry — and half of everything raised goes to Thurso and District Pipe Band.

Step 1: Sign up free

Go to worldcup26.games/enter and create a free account. All you need is an email address and a display name. No payment details are required to sign up. Your account is created instantly.

Step 2: Make your predictions

Go to the Predict page and pick the scoreline for every group stage match. For each game, enter the goals you think each team will score. You can also predict the overall World Cup winner for a bonus 5-point reward.

You can change your predictions at any time up until 1 hour before each match kicks off. After that, your prediction locks and cannot be changed. Make sure you get your predictions in early for the opening games on 11 June 2026.

Step 3: Earn points

Points are awarded automatically after each match result is confirmed:

+3 pts

Exact score

You predicted the precise scoreline (e.g. England 2-1 USA).

+1 pt

Correct result

You got the win, draw, or loss right but not the exact score.

+5 pts

Tournament winner

You correctly predicted the overall World Cup 2026 winner.

0 pts

Wrong prediction

Your predicted result did not match the final outcome.

Step 4: Climb the leaderboard

After every match result, the live leaderboard updates automatically. You can see exactly where you rank among all players. The leaderboard shows your total points, rank, and number of exact scores.

Step 5: Enter the prize pot (optional)

To be eligible for cash prizes, pay the £11.50 entry fee via the Prize Pot page. This is optional — you can play and predict for free forever. The entry fee contributes to the prize pot, with 50% going to the top 10 prize-eligible finishers and 50% going to charity.

When does the World Cup 2026 start?
